1. The SINGARO spark plug gap tool is a professional tool designed for most standard spark plugs in sizes 14mm, 12mm, 10mm, and 16mm. It is particularly useful for short thread depth plugs commonly found in chainsaws, string trimmers, and other small equipment engines. Please note that it is NOT compatible with 18mm thread plugs or long reach and short reach spark plugs.
2. This spark plug gap tool features a dual marked stainless-steel feeler gauge with a measurement range from 0.001inch to 0.04inch (0.03mm to 1mm). Made of high-quality flexible 65 manganese steel, the feeler gauge is hardened and polished for long-lasting and accurate usage. It is the preferred tool for personal or professional use in machinery stores or automobile garages.
3. When using the spark plug gap tool, keep in mind that due to the material of the spark plug, some electrodes may bounce back. This is normal for certain spark plugs. If your desired gap is 0.046in, it is recommended to use a 0.044in feeler gauge size. Smaller scale than the target gap is also recommended for optimal performance across a variety of applications.
4. Using the spark plug gap tool is easy. Simply place your spark plug onto the spark plug gapper and select the desired feeler gauge. Slowly screw the knob until the side electrode compresses to the desired gap thickness. Note that this tool is designed to close a gap, not open it.
